How to track your parcel to the USA
Updated , 2 min read
Your haul is on its way to the States. Here's what happens between your agent's warehouse and your mailbox, how long each part takes and where to look for updates.
How shipping to the US works
US lines like GTI USA and YFD USA fly your parcel to the US, clear customs there and hand it to USPS (sometimes UPS) for delivery.
The USPS number is often printed on the label in China, so USPS may know about your parcel early. But its tracking only starts moving once the parcel is actually scanned in the US. Until then, the shipping line's tracking has the real updates.
How long it takes
- 6–9 days from shipping until your parcel lands and reaches US customs
- 1–2 days in customs
- 2–5 days with USPS to your door
All in, that's roughly 10–18 days door to door.
Step 1: Track with the line's number
Once your agent ships, you get an international tracking number on your parcel's page. Paste it into the QC Finder parcel tracker. It checks every shipping line at once, shows where your parcel is right now and counts down the days until it gets home.
Give it a name like Jordans + hoodies and save it. It stays on your device, no account needed.
Step 2: Switch to USPS
When the line adds the USPS number, our tracker shows it with a direct link to USPS. If USPS says Label created, not yet in system for a few days, that's normal: the label exists, the parcel just hasn't been scanned in the US yet.
Once USPS scans it, their tracking is the most detailed, and you can sign up for text or email alerts on usps.com.
Step 3: Delivery
USPS delivers to your mailbox, porch or parcel locker. A signature is rarely needed.
When to contact your agent
- No info 2–3 days after shipping: normal. New numbers take a day or two to show up.
- USPS stuck on Label created for over 10 days: the parcel may still be at customs. Check the line's tracking first.
- Stuck at customs for over a week, or nothing new 3 weeks after shipping: open a ticket with your agent. They can chase the shipping line for you.
